What is your earthen house made from?
Our earthen house is constructed with a proprietary system from the folks at Biotekt. it is an engineered system made from recycled plastics and fiberglass, and can withstand the weight of the dirt and sod that surrounds it quite well! The system incorporates lots of doors and windows, so there is an abundance of natural light in the dwelling (even though it is technically subterranean).

Is there much to do in Tryon and Landarum?
Yes! If you are staying with us and don’t want to venture far afield, then Tryon and Landrum should keep you well occupied! Tryon’s historic cinema hosts a first run movie weekly, and shouldn’t be missed. There are great options for beer and wine in both towns, and the nearby Red Horse Inn offers live entertainment regularly during the summer. Antiques about in Landrum, and art galleries are the specialty in Tryon.
